Sakura in Tokyo Today

I went to Shinjuku Gyoen park today too see the cherry blossoms, which we call sakura (桜) in Japanese.

Shinjuku Gyoen park is a very popular and historic place in Tokyo. The sakura was only half blooming there at this time but it’ll be in full bloom perhaps next few days.

Yet, some people are already out doing “hanami” (花見) which is having a drink and eating while under the sakura trees to admire its beauty.

Later in the week, Tokyo will be filled with lots of beautiful sakura trees so take some time to enjoy this very special season with your friends or family.

There are many places to see the sakura besides Shinjuku Gyoen 🍒
