Today is spring equinox day in Japan.
Every year this day is different depending on the northward equinox.
This is the day the subsolar point leaves the Southern Hemisphere and crosses the celestial equator of the Earth.
Traditionally, we go to our ancestor’s grave on this day.
The idea why we go to the grave is because supposedly on this day this world and the other world (in other words the afterlife,) is the closest to one another it can be, so it is easier to communicate with the ancestors in the afterlife.
I went to my family grave today and prayed for them.
